Profile
Parna Sabet-Stephenson is a Partner in the Information Technology Group. Her practice focuses on all aspects of outsourcing and technology law, including joint ventures, technology acquisitions and licensing, complex services agreements and electronic commerce. She has also acted in a variety of other commercial law and consumer law matters.
Parna has assisted domestic and international customers and service providers in a variety of industries, including telecommunications, financial services, pharmaceutical, energy, technology and automotive industries. She has structured, negotiated and drafted various outsourcing, joint venture, technology acquisition, technology development, licensing, and supply agreements.
Parna frequently speaks on technology law, outsourcing, e-commerce and consumer protection topics, and has presented at various industry and legal associations including the American Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association and le Congrès des juristes d'expression française de l'Ontario. She has published extensively and is the co-author of the book A Guide to the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, published by Butterworths.
Parna is the past chair of the Toronto Computer Lawyers Group and the E-commerce Committee of the Information Technology Association of Canada.
Parna is fluent in French.

- Bell Aliant in negotiating extensive, long-term outsourcing and commercial agreements with Bell Canada in connection with the formation of Bell Aliant Regional Communications Income Fund
- Bell Aliant in the negotiation of long-term commercial agreements with Yellow Pages Group, in connection with the acquisition of Aliant Directory Services
- TUI AG in all technology law matters relating to its C$2-billion acquisition of CP Ships Limited
- National and foreign financial institutions in the structuring and negotiation of outsourcing arrangements, technology development initiatives and joint ventures
- Companies in a variety of sectors in offering their products and services online to Canadian businesses and consumers
- A multinational pharmaceutical company in negotiating and drafting various outsourcing and technology agreements
- An energy provider in connection with various technology acquisition and services arrangements
- A technology solution provider on establishing and negotiating various supply arrangements
- Processing companies in negotiating processing services agreements with financial institutions
